Sophia has a love affair with beauty and art her whole life. It started with crayons which then moved on to her mom's lipstick and rollers and never stopped. It has evolved into a craft and passion that she loves sharing with others. Her goal is to bring out beauty in everyone, sometimes that means enhancing the natural and other times that means pushing into the imaginative.
She has been doing hair since 2006. Her strengths are in color (balayage, blonde, reds, and etc), creative placement, and womens short haircuts. Most of her guests let her have creative freedom, and let her do what she suggests or what she has in mind. She bases her decisions on each individual's personality, lifestyle, and career. She is not afraid of change and doing something different each time whether it's drastic or subtle.
Sophia has been doing makeup since 2005 and she is Mac certified. She has had lot of experience with bridal/wedding makeup and has worked with local photographers doing fashion, many boudoir, engagement, wedding, and beauty shots. Costumes makeup lessons are now available and she has teamed up with ladies at Dolce doing combined hair/makeup lessons.

I’m so lucky to do what I love for a living! Since a young age I’ve had a passion for hair and I’ve been very fortunate to have translated this into a rewarding career. It’s not only the creative aspects of my job that I enjoy, but the relationships I develop with my clients. There is nothing more rewarding than the look of joy on the faces of my clients when they love their hair. Most of my clients are regular, long-time customers and have become like family over the years. I’m flattered by the fact that even though some them have moved out of the area they continue to come to me, despite long drives or even plane flights!
Early in my career I was fortunate to be trained at Umberto Beverly Hills. Working there for four years, I started in their apprentice program and moved on to become a stylist. It provided me an amazing foundation of knowledge and technique on which I’ve built my career. Intensive training and weekly classes in cutting, styling and coloring taught me hair is a women’s most versatile accessory. A great haircut and beautiful color is transformational. Now into the 25nd year as a professional stylist, I continue to refine my expertise and stay updated with the latest trends and products. My color of choice is Goldwell as I’ve found it consistently delivers the most vibrant results and I know my clients would agree. Another amazing product that I’ve come to love is the Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatments, what a revolutionary product! The results are truly remarkable and clients have exclaimed that it’s “changed their life” (…well at least their hair!)
While it’s been a pleasure taking care of my Los Angeles clients, I decided to make the move back to my roots (no pun intended;) in the Pacific Northwest. I am thrilled at the opportunity to practice my craft and build my business at Dolce Salon & Spa in Tacoma, WA. I look forward to booking with you soon.

Rhonda is the life of the party and you CAN'T not love her. She is an amazing wife, mother and hairdresser best of all. Rhonda received her training at Gene Juarez and advanced education at Brassfield’s where she worked for 6 years. After starting her family and she decided to work from home for an additional ten years. Missing the salon atmosphere she started working at Saloneleven21 with her good girlfriend for the last five year’s, we are happy to say both ladies joined the Dolce Team :) She specializes in balayage, color, cut and extensions but really does it all. Now she is at Dolce, both her and the team couldn't be more excited for what comes next!

Hi! My name is Megan and I just moved back into the Tacoma area back in February and couldn’t be more thrilled to be back after living in Destin, Florida.
I’ve always had a passion for hair which started growing up with my aunt in the beauty industry. She was and is such a massive inspiration to become involved in this amazing industry. Hair is something I enjoy because I love making people feel comfortable in their own skin and walking out with a smile that tells a story. There is no such feeling I can explain about putting your hard work into someone’s hair and watching your client glow with a new found confidence! The other side of this industry I love is the science and chemistry for hair which people don’t see that I always found fascinating!
I moved to Rexburg Idaho back in January of 2019 for Cosmetology school and graduated later that year in December. After graduating I was offered a job in Destin, Florida and that’s where I officially started working in the beauty industry. The transition to moving to Florida was not easy, little did I know, covid was creeping up around the corner in March. That said, Covid did not stop me from being successful! After two months of being shut I than hustled and worked my hardest and decided to invest in myself. The first thing I sank my teeth into was starting extensions where I am happy to say I’m now certified in the Invisible Bead Method!
Besides the love I’ve always had for hair, I was raised with a very musical childhood which has helped build the artist in me. My mom was raised in a band with her family growing up and that was passed on to my siblings and I. When I was in high school, I also preformed Broadway shows for our school choir program. This gave me the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall my senior year with my choir. This was a once in a life time feeling and a completely surreal experience that I’ll never forget. Being raised a Navy brat I moved around every 2-3 years, this has given me travel bug and it’s no joke! I’ve had the privilege to live in some amazing destinations like Sasebo Japan, Honolulu Hawaii and Destin Florida. Those are the top 3 places that I feel have impacted me the most in my life and thankful for the memories. Hawaii is also very special to me considering I was born in Tripler, the big pink hospital in Honolulu that you just can’t miss
I truly look forward to working with my current and future clients and growing more in the beauty industry. This industry has shown me how hard work can pay off and I’m looking to put my skills to the test. My number one goal is to always make sure my clients leave with a smile on their face. You can always count on a good laugh with being in my chair along with a shampoo that greets you to the gates of heaven!

Pearl began studying makeup artistry in 2013 and joined Dolce Salon and Spa in the spring of 2016.
Although Pearl’s journey to embracing all things beauty started not that long ago. Her favorite subject as a child was Art and as one can expect, not much has changed! But now instead of drawing people with pencils and painting sunsets with pastels, she uses makeup as her medium. With a background in art, she uses color theory, shading and blending to achieve almost any look on anyone.
So, whether reproducing a clients inspiration photo or getting to create something entirely new, doing makeup is always something she looks forward to.
To make an appointment with Pearl call, text, email, or book with her online.
