My name is Wes Trout, and I co-own Dolce Salon with my wife, Heather Trout. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of such an exceptional team of people that encompass our salon and stand for Dolce’s values.
My background comes from years of working at various tech companies such as DocuSign, Smartsheet, and Convoy. Although my past experience is not in the beauty industry, delighting our customers and making sure everyone pays for the service they want remains the same. We strive here at Dolce to make your time at the salon unique and one of a kind.
Through the process of watching and learning about the hair industry, I’ve come to the conclusion our stylists represent three things. They are artists at heart, a chemist by trade, and therapists wrapped into one role.
If you are looking for a new salon to provide you with an exceptional experience, please give us a call or book online. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Jill Hogan
master hair stylist
I’m so lucky to do what I love for a living! Since a young age I’ve had a passion for hair and I’ve been very fortunate to have translated this into a rewarding career. It’s not only the creative aspects of my job that I enjoy, but the relationships I develop with my clients. There is nothing more rewarding than the look of joy on the faces of my clients when they love their hair. Most of my clients are regular, long-time customers and have become like family over the years. I’m flattered by the fact that even though some them have moved out of the area they continue to come to me, despite long drives or even plane flights!
Early in my career I was fortunate to be trained at Umberto Beverly Hills. Working there for four years, I started in their apprentice program and moved on to become a stylist. It provided me an amazing foundation of knowledge and technique on which I’ve built my career. Intensive training and weekly classes in cutting, styling and coloring taught me hair is a women’s most versatile accessory. A great haircut and beautiful color is transformational. Now into the 25nd year as a professional stylist, I continue to refine my expertise and stay updated with the latest trends and products. My color of choice is Goldwell as I’ve found it consistently delivers the most vibrant results and I know my clients would agree. Another amazing product that I’ve come to love is the Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatments, what a revolutionary product! The results are truly remarkable and clients have exclaimed that it’s “changed their life” (…well at least their hair!)
While it’s been a pleasure taking care of my Los Angeles clients, I decided to make the move back to my roots (no pun intended;) in the Pacific Northwest. I am thrilled at the opportunity to practice my craft and build my business at Dolce Salon & Spa in Tacoma, WA. I look forward to booking with you soon.

megan craig
junior 2 hair stylist
Hi! My name is Megan and I just moved back into the Tacoma area back in February and couldn’t be more thrilled to be back after living in Destin, Florida.
I’ve always had a passion for hair which started growing up with my aunt in the beauty industry. She was and is such a massive inspiration to become involved in this amazing industry. Hair is something I enjoy because I love making people feel comfortable in their own skin and walking out with a smile that tells a story. There is no such feeling I can explain about putting your hard work into someone’s hair and watching your client glow with a new found confidence! The other side of this industry I love is the science and chemistry for hair which people don’t see that I always found fascinating!
I moved to Rexburg Idaho back in January of 2019 for Cosmetology school and graduated later that year in December. After graduating I was offered a job in Destin, Florida and that’s where I officially started working in the beauty industry. The transition to moving to Florida was not easy, little did I know, covid was creeping up around the corner in March. That said, Covid did not stop me from being successful! After two months of being shut I than hustled and worked my hardest and decided to invest in myself. The first thing I sank my teeth into was starting extensions where I am happy to say I’m now certified in the Invisible Bead Method!
Besides the love I’ve always had for hair, I was raised with a very musical childhood which has helped build the artist in me. My mom was raised in a band with her family growing up and that was passed on to my siblings and I. When I was in high school, I also preformed Broadway shows for our school choir program. This gave me the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall my senior year with my choir. This was a once in a life time feeling and a completely surreal experience that I’ll never forget. Being raised a Navy brat I moved around every 2-3 years, this has given me travel bug and it’s no joke! I’ve had the privilege to live in some amazing destinations like Sasebo Japan, Honolulu Hawaii and Destin Florida. Those are the top 3 places that I feel have impacted me the most in my life and thankful for the memories. Hawaii is also very special to me considering I was born in Tripler, the big pink hospital in Honolulu that you just can’t miss
I truly look forward to working with my current and future clients and growing more in the beauty industry. This industry has shown me how hard work can pay off and I’m looking to put my skills to the test. My number one goal is to always make sure my clients leave with a smile on their face. You can always count on a good laugh with being in my chair along with a shampoo that greets you to the gates of heaven!
timber vastine
junior 3 stylist
Hi! I’m Timber, and I’d like to tell you about my passion for hair and why it began at a very young age. My mom was a stylist for over 20 years, and I loved watching hair videos with her and learning about the beauty industry. Being able to connect and make new friendships while also being an artist every day is an absolute dream come true.
In 2019 I graduated from Gary Manuel Aveda Institute, and from there, I did two different internships that molded me into the stylist and artist I am today.
My style is 50% girly and 50% grunge. I love wearing dresses and sparkles all over, but I’ll be Vans or Dr. Martens and covered in tattoos! A quote I like is, “I’m here for a good time, not a long time!”
The best compliment I’ve ever received was that I am easy to get along with and I’ve heard that from several clients. Not only do I love making my clients happy, but also making them comfortable while in my chair. Silence does not bother me so if you want a quiet and relaxing appointment just ask and I’ll make that happen for you. If you want to talk about something in your life and spill some tea, I’m also down for that, too! Looking forward to meeting new connections while I bring out the best in your hair.

Brett Guenther
Master hair stylist
Hello!
At a young very age, I realized I had a passion for working with people and wanted to demonstrate my talent in an artistic way. This led to my love for the beauty industry and inevitably attending Cosmetology School in Southern California in 2012.
After graduation, I started assisting & working as a stylist in Orange County. I quickly found out I have niche for blondes and redheads. After moving to Los Angeles, I was able to broaden my spectrum in colors and extensions! This allowed me to discover I truly have a passion for color & cutting hair. Also, I love being able to customize a unique look for every individual because every person in my chair is different :) Something unique about me is I enjoy working with a wide variety of color lines, from Davines to Goldwell but also using vegan and organic hair care.
Although I loved Orange County I found myself craving for a change of pace which brought me to the Pacific Northwest in 2018. I found myself growing roots here and feel so welcomed by the locals and couldn’t be happier with the decision to make the leap.
I have truly found that through doing hair I am able to help people look and feel their best. I’m looking forward to working with my previous clients and meeting new clients at Dolce to help achieve their hair goals!

Vanessa Frank
senior 1 Stylist
Hello!
My name is Vanessa and I just moved to Tacoma from a small town in Missouri called Rich Fountain and couldn’t be more thrilled! I’ve been traveling for the past 2 months with my best friend and her cat through 11 states in our vintage camper we renovated ourselves to get us to the Northwest. We get asked A LOT why we moved here and the simple answer is we wanted somewhere on the west coast, close to the ocean, with some mountains and just like that we found our home
I’ve been part of the beauty industry and styling hair for 6 years and love it. What I specialize in; blonding, balayage, highlights, corrective colors and updos. However, I feel my passion for hair started in my childhood. I was constantly getting in trouble for doing my own hair or others while in class. This even extended into kindergarten where I cut off a friends braided pig tails so… really, I’ve had years of practice!
I’m extremely excited join the Dolce fam and hopefully to meet you soon in my chair!
